Why is Local Hack Day digital this year?

Local Hack Day: Share is digital this year due to the developing situation of novel coronavirus and nCOV-19/COVID-19. We recommend staying up to date and following the recommendations of your local authorities, the World Health Organization, and the Center for Disease Control. In order to keep our community safe, we have moved our events digital through the end of June 2020. This includes hackathons, Local Hack Day, and MLH Localhost workshops. Not to worry, we have plenty of fun activities up our sleeves!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Local Hack Day: Share has become an online-only event. There are no more locations to host you for an in-person event and no locations to provide food for attendees.

Who organizes Local Hack Day?

Local Hack Day is organized by Major League Hacking (MLH). Local community volunteers are responsible for organizing the individual communities of Local Hack Day around the world that you'd be attending.

How much does it cost?

It's free to participate in MLH's Local Hack Day. You'll be responsible for covering any costs associated with getting yourself to the venue, any supplies you need for your project, and any food or drinks beyond what is being provided as indicated on the location's page.
